Nora | Baby Photography :: San Jose, California

As a wedding photographer, I don’t usually have a chance to meet the flower girl before a wedding. I was so happy to have met Nora a few days before her Uncle Ryan was to marry Yoomi. The photo shoot was one of the fastest shoots I’ve ever done! Nora was such a joy to work with, and she was so adorable! I am so happy to introduce Nora and Katie and some of my favorite photos from our baby session.

Mike+Kristen+Cole | Holiday and Birthday Photography :: Belair, Maryland

I was so happy to hear from Kristen again when she contacted me to photograph her family for the holidays. Her son may look familiar to those who have seen my past work. He is the boy with the really blue eyes…I was also surprised to hear that it would be a birthday shoot also because Cole’s birthday is on Christmas eve.

This was a particularly fun shoot for me cause we were bribing Cole with fruit snacks… 4 packs later…he couldn’t stop jumping on the bed…(note to self, limit fruit snack bribes to 2 packs)

I asked Kristen to think of  outdoor spaces she would like to have photographs taken. She took me to a place call Jerusalem Mills in Kingsville, Maryland. Talk about prime location… I counted 3 other photographers not including myself trying to find a place to shoot… There is a possibility that I’m in the background in someone’s Christmas card this year…

Kristen and Mike, I had such a great time with you guys! I hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them. Happy Holidays!

Hunter+Michelle+Alexa | Family Holiday Photography :: Richmond, Virginia

Alexa was one of the happiest babies I had the privilege to work with! She was full of laughter but was a clever girl also, none of my bells and whistles worked to get her attention to look at the camera. I even pulled out the big my gun with my finger puppets! Our hard work paid off when we used the her own toys. Here are some of my favorites during our session.

Another first for me was photographing these Great Danes! To give you an idea of how large these dogs were, I’m 6′ tall, the top of their heads were just below my chest while they were sitting down. I’m still amazed at there size and gentleness.

Julia | Baptism Photography :: Annapolis, Maryland

I’m so happy to introduce Julia! Baptisms are very special moments in a family’s life and Julia’s was no exception. I felt very privilege that Dorothy, Julia’s mom chose me to capture this moment. Lily|Baptism Photography Westminster, Maryland

I first met this little bundle of joy when I photographed her when she just turned 3 months. She was one of the most memorable babies I photographed because of those bright blue eyes. When mom, Nicole contacted me to photograph her baptism, I literally jumped for joy to have another opportunity to photograph Lily. Even with an eight month old daughter of my own, I couldn’t believe how fast Lily has grown.

I had such a wonderful time capturing this momentous occasion. I hope you enjoy the photos, maybe the next time I see you, Lily, you will be walking!

Genevieve Watson Kohl|Infant Photography Odenton, Maryland

I’m so happy to introduce Genevieve Watson Kohl. I want to send a huge congratulations to my good friend and cohort family Grace and Ryan Kohl. Nicole + Lily | Family Photography Abingdon, Maryland

In the last year I have met a lot of babies, but Lily was one of the most easy going babies that I have  had the privilege to photograph. Even after 3 outfit changes, she didn’t mind getting positioned or having a camera clicking away in front of her. I met Nicole and Lily through her sister Kristen. They were disappointed with portraits that were done at a department store so I offered my services to redo them. When I found out Nicole was a nurse, I knew I would get along with her very well, since my wife and many of my close friends are also nurses. I had a wonderful time photographing both of you. Enjoy!

Kristen + Cole | Family Photography Abingdon, Maryland

I’ve known Kristen for many years but unfortunately we lost contact for some time. I was happy to reconnect with her on Facebook and to discover that she had a beautiful family. As I had recently started turning my love of photography into a career, many people did not know that I was a photographer. One day I was perusing the most recent updates when I found Kristen and her sister Nicole, a new mother, had taken portraits at a local department store and Kristen commented on how disappointed she was of her portraits. Seeing an opportunity to photograph a photogenic family I leaped into action offering my services to redo the portraits for them. These are some of the moments I captured.
